Ricardo J LaVite, CEO/President, 28 years of experience
Ricardo LaVite co-founded All Star General Insurance Agency, LLC, a wholesale insurance agency specializing in non-standard personal auto insurance. Mr. LaVite served as President of All Star General since its inception in 2007, and oversaw all aspects of the very successful wholesale operation. Prior to founding All Star General, Mr. LaVite served for 12 years as Vice President Sales & Marketing for Anchor General Insurance Agency. He joined Anchor General as its second employee and was responsible for all the agency’s marketing activities, producer relations and product development. During his tenure at Anchor General, Mr. LaVite was instrumental in creating new products that produced profitable underwriting results and premium growth year after year. During his last 7 years at Anchor general, Mr. LaVite served as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing of Anchor General Insurance Company. Prior to working at Anchor General, Mr. LaVite served as Vice President Sales and Marketing for Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc.

Mr. Lavite graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in Political Science with an emphasis in International Studies and a minor in Business Administration.

Erin Simpson, CFO, 20 years of experience
Erin’s Finance and Accounting management experience spans a variety of industries. Most recently she has spent the last eight years with managing general agencies owned by Confie Seguros operating in the non-standard auto insurance market, managing over $100M in annual premiums. She is currently responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions for All Star and certain related entities. Prior to her experience in the insurance industry, Ms. Simpson’s career has included serving as Corporate Controller for a workers compensation insurance claims third party administrator, as well as Controller for two different rapidly growing software development companies. She has extensive experience working with owners and private equity partners and is particularly skilled at managing a highly efficient team with a unique focus on forecasting and analysis.

Ms. Simpson earned her Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of San Francisco.

Christal L LaVite, Vice President Operations, 25 years of experience
Christal LaVite co-founded All Star General Insurance Agency, LLC and served as Vice President Operations since its inception in 2007. As Vice President of Operations, Christal provided overall strategy, developed IT systems and streamlined workflows in an effort to maximize efficiencies and personally managed all the agency’s Underwriters and Customer Service employees. Christal acquired strong underwriting disciplines early in her career while working as a frontline underwriter and as a company underwriter for Workman’s. Prior to All Star General, Christal worked for Bristol West Insurance Services of California and Hartford Insurance Company where she was primarily responsible for marketing activities, producer relations, and managing the profitability of the insurance written in her territory. Christal also worked at FSC, where her responsibilities included trouble shooting software and hardware issues in brokers’ offices, installing new software developing new products and training offices on FSC’s products.

Brian Jewell Vice President, Systems, 28 years of experience
Brian spent the first year of his insurance career with Progressive Insurance Company. The next sixteen years were with California-based, non-standard auto retail agencies including, Sentinel Insurance Agency and Eastwood Insurance Services. Brian held various operational, management and executive roles including sales, underwriting, service, audit & Q.A.,, IS and IT. Brian continued his career for 7 years at Sterling Casualty Insurance Company, a non-standard insurance carrier as the V.P., Operations. At Sterling he was tasked with rebuilding the IT and IS systems from the ground up and implementing a policy and claims management system. More recently Brian served as an industry consultant on a variety of assignments, including: IT infrastructure, policy and claims administration system replacements, compliance, Telcom and Print Production and Imaging.
